The OECD rating assessing export credit risk of Slovakia has improved, reported the SITA newswire. According to OECD, Slovakia now represents a zero risk for its foreign business partners when it comes to repayment of export credit. The OECD has awarded the Slovak Republic the highest rating possible of the seven-point scale – risk-free degree of zero. That means excluding the country from risk assessment classification stated the Ministry of Finance of Slovakia on 5 February 2009.

Slovakia is the only country out of 32 countries evaluated, which has been given an upgraded OECD risk classification. This success of Slovakia is even more significant amidst the uncertain times of global economic downturn. Very good news for investors and business partners in these gloomy times indeed!
