VIP Gala Charity Reception on Wembley

Charity VIP gala reception for entrepreneurs from the UK and Slovakia on the background of the firendly football match on 28th March 2009 at the Wembley Stadium in London proved to be a good 'score' for entrepreneurs from Slovakia and Britain.

The charity VIP gala reception of the Slovak British Business Council in the exclusive premises of The PitchView Suite reached the highest scores not only in celebrity participation, but also in opening new active business contacts and relations between enterprises in both countries.

Among the guests at the reception were members of European royal houses, such as Katarina of Yugoslavia, football celebrities, including Michael Knighton, former owner of the Manchester United, Gianni Paladini, the director of QPR and Mel Eves, former England international, who was master of ceremony at the event.

Representatives of the diplomatic community, celebrities and business people from Slovakia joined their UK counterparts at this event and opened a range of new business and social relations leading to further meetings. All participants supported the “Manifesto Foundation” by selecting artworks of the successful Slovak painter Jaro Sulek and match memorabilia.

David Hodgson, president of the SBBC said “the most important source of business are open communication and flexibility to deal with the situation with personal involvement and entrepreneurial intuition”.

“Even the current economic crisis brings definite business opportunities. This is proven by the fact, that the main partner of the event, an esteemed financial institution Barclays Wealth is ready to help organize further meetings of business partners at international investors’ round tables. The first of these will be in June 2009 in Poprad, Slovakia,” said Hodgson.
