Slovakia signs agreement with Azerbaijan

Slovakia and Azerbaijan have entered into a trade agreement.
The collaboration was agreed upon during a visit to Azerbaijan by Slovak deputy prime minister and justice minister Stefan Harabin.
Both Mr Harabin and his Azerbaijani counterpart Fikret Mammadov signed the memorandum of understanding in the capital city of Baku.
During a meeting before the agreement was officially made the pair discussed the strengthening of legal cooperation between the two countries and agreed that they have similar attitudes towards justice and legislation.
Fikret Mammadov said that much political work has been undertaken in Azerbaijan to upgrade its justice and juridical agencies.
Stefan Harabin stated that Slovakia had also undertaken a number of reforms within its legal sector but that the most efficient way for both states to grow in these areas was through mutual cooperation.
He concluded the meeting by inviting Mr Mammadov to visit Slovakia in the near future.
Azerbaijan is located on the borders of Iran, Russia, Armenia and Georgia and is best known for its oil production.
