Aqua City's mountain water 'brings health benefits'

People planning a holiday to Slovakia may be interested to head to the soothing waters of Aqua City, in Poprad.
As the country is landlocked, Slovakia has seen a significant boom in demand for water parks and they have become a major tourist attraction for locals and visitors from around the world, according to Radio Slovakia.
Aqua City in Poprad, in the High Tatras, is particularly popular because many people believe its waters offer health benefits.
Marketing spokesperson Jan Profant told the radio station''s website: "The water spends about 15 thousand years filtering through the mountains. It is from this process that the water gains its beneficial properties which help people with their health problems and to relax."
He added: "That is why we have visitors both from the local area and from further afield."
And for those travellers who are keen to look after the environment, Aqua City uses the natural resources of geothermal power to deliver all its needs.
According to the resort''s website, it "uses freely available natural energy to heat and power its hotels, water park, spa, restaurant, bars, fitness and conference centres".
