New entertainment centre opened in Slovakia
Merkur Casino has opened its new Merkur Herna entertainment centre in the town of Trencin, Slovakia.
The firm, which is a subsidiary of arcade operator the Gauselmann Group, has established six similar centres across the country.
Merkur Herna covers 340 square metres and is located in the Laugaricio shopping centre alongside a number of international brands.
It is the largest and most modern property that the company currently operates in Slovakia and an official opening ceremony is expected to take place during the summer.
In a statement Merkur Casino said that the new establishment emphasises the brand values the company associates itself with.
They include "stylish interior decorating in an up-market vicinity, a first-class product range as well as exemplary service according to international quality criteria via optimally-trained members of staff".
It offers visitors up to 44 gaming positions including the increasingly popular electronic roulette.
Merkur Casino began operating casinos and entertainment centres in Slovakia during June 2006.
