Slovakia to open embassy in Macedonia

Miroslav Lajcak, Slovakia''s foreign minister, has paid an official visit to Macedonia to mark the opening of a Slovakian embassy in the country.
The current liaison office is to be turned into an embassy and means Slovakia will have the 28th resident embassy based in the country.
Macedonian foreign minister Antonio Milososki invited Mr Lajcak to the country to celebrate the event and discuss possible joint ventures.
A number of projects in Macedonia are funded by the Slovakian government through a development fund and the pair are looking to work on more initiatives to increase cooperation between the two states, Maxfax reported.
An agreement protecting investments has also been signed by the two ministers.
Slovakia is currently entertaining Jordan''s prime minister Nader Dahabi as part of an official visit to discuss the possibility of increasing trade between the two states.
Isria reported that a Jordan-Slovak business forum is being organised today (June 26th) to "create opportunities for the private sector to get familiarised with new investment projects".
