Europe should 'emulate Slovakia and the Czech Republic'

Diplomatic relations between Slovakia and the Czech Republic should be used as a model for the rest of Europe, the Czech president has claimed.
Vaclav Klaus made the comments during a visit from Slovakian president Ivan Gasparovic, TASR reported.
He told the news provider that the visit, which was Mr Gasparovic''s first since he was re-elected, was symbolic of the problem-free relationship enjoyed by the two countries and illustrates that relations are exemplary 16 years after Czechoslovakia split.
The Slovakian president added that when they meet the two always discuss contemporary and important issues and, despite not agreeing on certain topics, get on well.
Mr Gasparovic''s visit to the Czech Republic was delayed by two hours after the police received a phone call claiming that the president was in danger.
The authorities stopped and searched the plane but found nothing harmful on board while the unidentified caller is thought to have been detained by the police.
