Mobile application helps visitors to Slovakia
Bratislava 3G, a new mobile application, can help tourists find the best places to stay and visit before arriving in the Slovakian capital, according to its creators.
The application, which can be used on devices including iPhones and iPod touches, has been designed by the same developers who produced the Heart of Europe, an online Slovakian resource.
Information on accommodation, travel, news, weather forecasts and further useful advice entertainment and events can be accessed through the application.
David Ault, founder of Heart of Europe, said his first visits to Bratislava when he was learning the Slovakian language and getting to grips with the culture would have been enhanced through the Bratislava 3G application if it had been available.
"I felt at a distinct disadvantage. I felt then that my trips would have been made much easier if I had been able to make better choices as to where to stay, where to eat and where to find entertainment, and did not have to rely on getting a taxi to each destination."
The website creators are to launch the Tratry 3G application soon.
