Turkish musicians play at Summer of Culture festival

An audience of over 1,000 spectators watched a group of Turkish musicians play a concert in Slovakia at the weekend as part of the Summer of Culture festival.
Okay Temiz and the Dogu Ruzgari orchestra played during the open-air event in the main square of the Slovakian capital of Bratislava on July 4th.
It was the first time a traditional Turkish band has played at the city''s annual Summer of Culture Festival, the Anatolia news agency reported.
The ensemble played a number of folk songs, Turkish standards and individual performance pieces.
Mertol Demirelli, a 12-year-old musical prodigy from Turkey, performed during the following day of the event.
Bratislava''s Summer of Culture event is now in its 34th year and is running until September 6th, featuring 180 acts during 82 days.
During the second half of June, popstar Lenny Kravitz and rocker Carlos Santana both played headline gigs at the football stadium in Petrzalka as part of the event.
Other acts including Patti Smith, Klaxons and Travis will be performing at the Pohoda festival in July
