Business travel 'still required'

Businesses are continuing to spend money on going abroad to meet with clients, a claim has suggested.
September and October are the peak months for conferences and are when airlines make most of their money, according to Business Travel Magazine.
Commenting after recent research from Visa Europe showed that small firms have increased their travel spending, Gill Upton, editor of the magazine stated: "Businesses have to travel - there is only so much they can do by phone and video conference and the rest is done face-to-face."
Research from Visa Europe also found that the number of transactions made on Visa Business Cards - which could include flights to meetings in Slovakia - increased by ten per cent year-on-year in June.
Airports which operate flights to the Slovakian capital Bratislava include Manchester, Birmingham, London Stansted - which offers direct routes to the city - and Glasgow, as well as others.
