A summer Slovak language school is set to launch its latest course after an increasing number of foreigners want to learn the language, it has been reported.

Britons who are off to Slovakia this summer could take a language course at the Studia Academica Slovaca (SAS), which is set to run until August 22nd.

SAS told news resource TASR that its 45th summer school will attract up to 170 people from 33 countries.

Holidaymakers from the UK may be too late to attend this one, but if after a visit to Slovakia they decide they want to learn more, they could be wise to book early for next year''s event.

"Among the most exotic countries represented are Jamaica, Nepal, Taiwan, South Africa and China," Eva Spanova, from SAS, told the news source.

However, individuals who are holidaying in Slovakia this year can catch a glimpse of the language school''s opening ceremony at Comenius University in Bratislava on August 3rd.

The Slovak language is the official language of the Slovak Republic, although many Slovaks do not live within these borders.ADNFCR-2242-ID-19291542-ADNFCR
