- The Weatherman: London premiere of Opera North's new chamber opera celebrating the 200th anniversary of Charles Darwin's birth (30-31 Jul)
- Wallen: a sibling offering from composer/singer/pianist Errollyn and jazz composer/trumpeter Byron Wallen exploring their extraordinary upbringing (13-14 Aug)
- Ula: haunting new opera-thriller and work-in-progress directorial debut from top opera singer Sally Burgess (13-14 Aug)
