All properties in Slovakia are free-hold. Unlike in other EU accession countries, there is no need to establish a limited liability company in Slovakia in order to purchase real estate (with the exception of agricultural land and forest land). For the purposes of the purchase of the property in Slovakia, all EU citizens are treated as equal to Slovak citizens.
